Sharon & Paul currently have five Sires, and two young boys coming up the ranks. The first is a beautiful young man called" Isaac" who was imported from Poland and is working for Anou cattery. The second is "Tito", a stud they adopted from Archangeli Cattery in exchange for Anou Kasimovo who will be retired soon. The third is a young white stud Anou Russians has retained from their Queen Zima, called Odna Tochka (One Dot). One Dot will soon be vasectomised so that he can service our girls when kittens are not required.
Anou has also produced two beautiful young sires from their Polish import and black Russian Queen Mila. The brothers, Anou Alexander Pushkin & Anou Michael Meowers, and now just 8 months old and have been attending cat shows in NSW and QLD. Mikey, though still young, will soon be a father himself! Anou Russian Cats has also produced a new young white Russian Male "Felix", who will replace One Dot as their white Russian sire. A little Russian blue boy named "Sylvester" will arrive at Anou Cattery in a little over a month, from Golash Russian Cattery in WA.
Anou Cattery will continue to acquire new stock to maintain the genetic diversity within their cattery. This includes working with overseas breeders in Europe, where they aim to exchange sound old-style Australian lines with diverse European lines to improve the genetic integrity of the Russian breed of cat in Australia. Importation of cats to Australia is a costly and long-winded process. An imported cat will generally be close to 12 months of age before it arrives in the country and cost between 10 to 15K.

It is common practice amongst breeders to work with each other to continually improve on the "Breed Standard" and to ensure the genetic integrity of the breed. Most breeders will offer stud services to registered breeders to reduce the risks of inbreeding and maintain genetic diversity within the Russian breed, however Anou Russian Cats is a closed cattery. This means that visitation by outside cats is not permitted (except in exceptional circumstances) in order to protect their valuable breeding stock from infectious diseases. Sometimes breeders will import new cats to add new genetic diversity and enhance traits that may require improvement.
